Well Tracie, the last time we did the memory walk in 2015 you did it with us, despite you being so poorly. You lost your battle to cancer in Sept 2016 in Bolton Hospice at the young age of just 46 . This year me, some of your kids and grandkids will be doing the walk again, but this time we will be dedicating it to you. I know Bolton Hospice held a special place in your heart. I’m doing the midnight memories walk this year on behalf of my beautiful mum, who was a resident at Bolton Hospice during her final days. The staff went above and beyond to make sure she was as comfortable as possible and I will forever be grateful to them for that. I love you and miss you so much mum xxx

My Mum & Grandma

I came to Bolton Hospice as a child for my mums last days, and the hospice always made me feel safe and and happy knowing my mum was well looked after, then I came again as an adult when my grandma spent her last days at Bolton Hospice and the feeling was the same! Knowing they both passed surrounded by the hospice angels making them feel as comfortable as possible which made me happy during two of the most heartbreaking events in my life.

I’m walking remembering all who have had the benefit of hospice care. Truly amazing and dignified end days. My very dear cousin Wendy Elizabeth Harrison went to the Lord last September after receiving such gentle and loving care from Bolton Hospice staff, many years ago my dear close friend Margaret Banks nee Mathews was looked after by Bolton hospice staff dignified and caring staff. I remember Bolton Hospice opening. One of the best top Bolton services. Thank you for being there 🙏💕
